See if you can find a babysitter, or try to move on a day where your child’s school or nursery can take care of them. Keeping children away on moving day will ensure that you can get everything done quickly, without having to worry about caring for your kids.5)    Helping your child to settle into their new home.Oftentimes children can be excited to move, only to find their new home scary and unfamiliar. You can get your kids to settle in by helping them to decorate their bedrooms. A child’s bedroom is a safe place for them, and having their rooms unpacked as soon as possible, and having walls or decorations in your child’s favourite colours, can help them to relax and enjoy their new surroundings. You can make decorating into a shared activity, and allow your child to get involved with painting and decorating, or you can surprise them with a ready-painted room on moving day. No matter what you decide, this will definitely help your child to feel as though their new house is a home.
